Spetses Island
Spetses has been the island of sailors and skippers. The iconic port of Spetses, Dapia, is a place with a unique importance not only for the locals but also for the visitors.
Next to Dapia spreads the posidonion square where the emblematic figure of Laskarina Bouboulina is commemorated by her statue in the center of the square. The island of Spetses has played a vital role in the struggle for Greece’s independence when along with the islands of Hydra and Psara where the first islands to rebelled against Turkish occupation.
Spetses seem to empathize with visitors in terms of amusement and entertainment appealing to almost all ages. Not far from Villa Kyma stretches Kounoupitsa’s beach with many options for food and drinks. One should also visit, along with others, Vrellos for the impressive beach bar and Agia Marina for the clear blue waters and the wide range of water sports.
